National DREAM Act campaign (DreamActivist)

Oh My Goodness.

We have done so much this year. I do not even know where to begin.

One of our goals, when we founded DREAMACTIVIST 2 years ago, was to get immigrant youth out of the closet and not be afraid to tell our stories, fight for our rights. I think we have been doing quite a great job of that.

With funding from our own pockets, we met this December and hatched out a new mission statement with short term, intermediate and long term goals. You will have them soon.

In the meantime, join our latest campaign to get USA Today to stop calling us "illegal students" and set an example in mainstream media.

We have had over 150 donors through our last two chip-ins, contributing close to $5000.

Your help has enabled us to travel for conferences where we raised awareness about the DREAM Act, lobby Congress, organize events such as the national DREAM graduation in D.C., stop the deportations of DREAM Act students, and so much more.

As we look forward to our DREAM Act Day of Action on September 23 and get an LLC up and running for undocumented students, we need more help than ever.

We have come a long way, but there is still work to be done. We need to pass the DREAM Act and immigration reform.
